Notes: One of the most strenuous hikes. Very little road walking. Highly recommend. The first part is a bushwhack, can be replaced by nonbushwhack by adding another mile and starting a little further north.

Warning: The W. Tr. was moved to the ridge.

Notes: My first hike as a leader. Little Schloss and White Rocks are magnificent. Notice Jack's puzzle - why the stream is going in the wrong direction.

Warnings: First part to Little Schloss gets overgrown. Stretch after the Tuscarora Trail is poorly maintained. Last few miles are walking on the gravel road and may be boring.

Hike 3. Long Mountain Trail - Trout Pond

Notes: these trails a similar even though their profiles look different. The first is linear with a semi-loop at the end, while the second is straight to the pond out-and-back.
