Notes: At the time of the hike there was no bridge over the Hunting Creek at the end of the hike so we had to wade knee deep.
There is a free little zoo with a bold eagle and reptiles near the parking. Don't miss it.

Notes: Grotto of Lourdes is a copy of a a grotto with the same name in France. It's located above the St. Mary's Catholic Univiersity. Trip starts from the parking near the giant golden Statue of St. Mary. Both the Grotto and the campus are very worth visiting. The Cunningham Falls is the tallest falls in MD.

Notes: One of the pretties hikes with great views and good challenge.
Warnings: On the Chimney Rock the snow covered a gap between rocks and one hiker sunk in. Fortunately, her arms prevented her from sinking all the way. Crossing the creek below the Cunningham Falls can be a challenge in high water, even though we crossed with our snowshoes on. Bring sandals and a towel just in case.
