Hike 1.  All Dry Run Waterfalls.

Parking: Take Rt. 66 North-West, Take Second Exit to Rt. 29 to Warrenton - At Warrenton keep left on Rt. 29 - Take Rt. 230 West at the Sheetz Gas Station - Follow it till it dead-ends to Rt. 33 - Turn West and Drive on Rt. 33 to the Skyline Dr.  - Take Skyline Dr. North. - Park at South River Overlook.

Trails: Dry Run Falls Road.  The rest is bushwhacking.

Notes:  This hike is strenuous and involves some serious bushwhacking and rock climbing.  It offers the view of some of the best waterfalls in the Park.

 

 

Hike 2.  White Oak Road.

 

Club: PATC.

Leaders: Bob Pickett organizer, Len Wheat leading.

Parking: Take Rt. 66 North-West, Take Second Exit to Rt. 29 to Warrenton - At Warrenton take Rt. 211 to Skyline Drive - take Skyline Drive South - Park at White Oak Road Parking (small parking for maybe 2 -4 cars, not paved).

Trails: White Oak Rd.  The rest is bushwhacking.

Notes:  This hike is involves lots of bushwhacking including walking over and under blowdowns as well as several stream crossings, but is not hard.
